POP Mart in Seattle
The Seattle POP Mart show was the last night of the North American tour, and my 15th show on the incredible ride that was the 1997 tour. These photos contain my best work from the tour, shot on four rolls of film with the Minolta SRT-101, 58mm lens, and 1A filter. The third roll was my first attempt at B&W photography, and I was thrilled with the results.
The Seattle show also ranks as one the greatest concerts I have ever been to. The B stage railing was filled with fans from around the Internet and around the world, many familiar faces. U2 was on fire that night, with some truly special moments captured on film at the B stage.
If you're wondering where Bono's hair went, it was shaved off a few days before, but grew back by the time the tour reached South America in early 1998.
