This scene contains 100,000 particles in a large disc. Each particle is made up of 4 triangles with the position and rotation of each particle was randomly generated by a custom written c++ program. This image took almost 1 week to render on a dual processor Pentium II 300MHz with 192 Meg of RAM. The POV-Ray settings were: +W800 +H450 -D +QR +R9 +A0.1 +J1.000 +V +FT +b1000 -X
